Many children use the Internet to get useful knowledge and information, and to relax in their free time. But some of them are not using in a good way. Here are some rules to make sure you are safe and have fun on the Internet.

¡ñ Make rules for Internet use with your parents. For example, when you can go online, for how long and what activities you can go online.

¡ñ Don¡¯t give your password (ÃÜÂë) to anyone else, and never leak out the following information---your real name, home address, age, school, phone number or other personal information.

¡ñ Check with your parents before giving out a credit (ÐÅÓÃ) card number.

¡ñ Never send a photo of yourself to someone in e-mail unless your parents say it¡¯s OK.

¡ñ Check with your parents before going into a chat room. Different chat rooms have different rules and attract different kinds of people. You and your parents must make sure it¡¯s a right place for you.

¡ñ Never agree to meet someone you met on the Internet without your parent¡¯s permission (ÔÊÐí). Never meet anyone you met on line alone.

¡ñ Always remember that people online may not be who they say they are. Treat everyone online as strangers.

¡ñ If something you see or read online makes you uncomfortable, leave the site. Tell a parent or teacher right away.

¡ñ Treat other people as you¡¯d like to be treated. Never use bad language.

¡ñ Remember¡ªnot everything you read on the Internet is true.

One windy spring day, I noticed young people having fun using the wind to fly their kites. Colorful creations of different shapes and sizes filled the skies like beautiful birds flying and dancing. As the strong winds blew against the kites, a string kept them in control.

Instead of blowing away with the wind, they rose against it to achieve great heights. They shook and pulled, but the restraining (¿ØÖƵÄ) string and the cumbersome (±¿ÖصÄ) tail kept them in control, facing upward and against the wind. As the kites struggled against the string, they seemed to say, ¡°Let me go! Let me go! I want to be free!¡± They rose beautifully even when they fought the restriction of the string. Finally, one of the kites succeeded in breaking loose(ËÉÉ¢µÄ). ¡°Free at last,¡± it seemed to say. ¡°Free to fly with the wind.¡±

Yet freedom(×ÔÓÉ) simply put it in the control of an unkind wind. It fell down to the ground and landed in a mass of weeds and string against a dead bush. ¡°Free at last¡±, free to lie powerlessly in the dirt, to be blown helplessly along the ground, and to stop lifelessly against the first obstacle (ÕϰÎï).

How much like kites we sometimes are. The Heaven gives us adversity (Äæ¾³) and rules, rules to follow from which we can grow and get strength. Some of us break away from the rules so hard that we never reach the heights we might get to. We keep part of the rules and never rise high enough to get our tails off the ground.

Let us each rise to the great heights, knowing that some of the rules that we may be angry about are in fact the strong force that helps us achieve.

B. what a pity it is that one kite flew down to the ground

C. man with freedom can¡¯t be like that kite which fell down

To Max

Today we had to let you go,

It broke our hearts in two,

We had to leave you at that place,

Alone and feeling blue,

The only thing that we could do,

Was to drive back home and cry,

For we just couldn¡¯t keep you,

No matter (ÎÞÂÛ) how we tried,

You¡¯ll never be forgotten,

As long as we two live,

You gave us all the love,

A little dog could give,

Looking at your small hutch,

We know you are not with us,

From this moment on,

We begin to miss you much,

We¡¯ll think about you often,

And wanna know where you are,

And in our hearts we¡¯ll hear your bell,

Tinkling from afar (Ô¶´¦).
