“ It’ll be my last chance（机会）to go swimming in the sea this year.” Tom says to his parents. “Next month it will be too cold.”

“ I don’t know, Tom.” His mother says. “ It’s a long way.” Then she looks at his father. “ What do you think about it, Harry?”

“ Oh, let him go, Alice.” Mr. White says. “ He is fifteen years old. He’s not a baby, you know.”

“ I know he’s not a baby.” Says Mrs. White. “But there are too many connections（转车）to make. He has to take a bus and a train and then another bus.”

“Please , mother.” Says Tom. “ I’ve made the trip with you and Dad a lot of times. I know the way.”

“ Let him go, Alice.” Says Mr. White again. “ He won’t get lost.”
