    I’m Rosa Croft. I must say that I became a nurse by chance. I didn’t really like my first Job—office work. It was OK, but that’s all I can say about it. I stayed in the same place with the same people around me all day and every day. Then I became a singer and I enjoyed it very much, but later the singing group broke up(解散）and I had to start looking for a new job.

    Some girls wanted to be nurses when they were children, but it never went into my head until I saw an ad in a newspaper. I thought, “Oh，well, I’ll give it a try. ” One thing I liked about it was going away from home.

    The training was very interesting and most of it was just in the wards(病房），so that I could begin nursing real patients soon.

    I lived in the nurses’ home after I arrived    and    I had my own    room.    It was very    nice.

    I like nursing more than I ever thought I would.    I    think    I’ll always    work on    nursing in the

    future. Wherever I live, there’s sure to be a hospital and there’s always a job for a nurse.
