When I was twelve years old I wanted nothing more than to be accepted onto a club baseball team. If I made a team like that I would be playing with the best competition for my age in Massachusetts and some teams from all over the country. I have always had a great understanding of the game and played very well but never at that level. I played baseball all summer and it was time for tryouts(选拔赛) in the fall. The team I tried out for was the South Shore Baseball Club or “The Seadogs.” On the field I was very nervous and didn’t play as well as I knew I could.
