    Ruler

    A ruler is a very useful tool. It can measure (测量) the length of something. There are many different kinds of rulers. Rulers are made of plastic, wood, cloth, and so on.     A cup is a kind of unit. It is used to measure how much something holds. One cup is equal to 8 ounces (盎司). It is used in the US and Japan. However, in other countries people use different cups. We can measure salt, milk, juice, sugar and butter with a cup. It is very useful when cooking.
