My spoken English and written English were poor, too. Luckily, with the help of my English teacher, I made great progress in it. I managed to do everything she suggested. I watched English movies and sang classic English songs. It is actually an effective way to improve my listening. While reading, I tried not to read word by word but by word groups and guess the meaning when meeting new words. I wrote down useful words and phrases, in this way, I increased the number of words and understood the articles better, besides, it was also helpful to my written English.
