    Many of you may want to study abroad after high school. But at the same time, more and more students from other countries are coming to study in China.

    Last year, 397,635 international students came to China. According to a report from the Student. Com website, China is now the third most popular country for international students, after the United States and the United Kingdom.

    The number of international students in China has doubled (双倍) since 2005. It has been growing by 10 percent each year. If the growth goes on, China will replace (代替) the UK for the second place by 2020. Many believe that the growth is because Chinese universities(大学) have developed well in recent years. The Chinese mainland (大陆) has 24 universities in the global top 500.

    Chinese government’s support to international students is also a reason. Last year, 40 percent of all international students new to China got money from the government.
