Beijing Zoo was named the “Ten-thousand Animal Garden” when it first opened to the public in 1906 . That is , it may have had ten-thousand animals one hundred years ago . The Zoo is in Xicheng District just to the west of Haidian , and it is very central . It opens at 7:30 every morning , so you should try to go there as early as possible . If you go there on weekends , you have to wait in long lines . But weekdays may be less crowded .

This place has much of interest for all the families . As for myself , I like to enjoy the architecture of the buildings in China , and there are different gardens and natural environments including hills and pools . Even more important , there are lots of lovely and funny animals .
