      Country music is a kind of American popular music. It first came from the countryside of the Southern United States as early as the 1920s. It joins American folk (民间的) music to Western music. Blues,a kind of music full of deep unhappiness,has also been widely used in it since its recorded history.       In 2009 in the United States,a record showed that country music was the most listened to when people were driving on their way home in the evening,and second most popular on their way to work in the morning.

      Today country music has become a big money tree. It brings in between 200 and 400 million dollars a year for the people and the country. The music has reached all parts of the States,from Los Angeles in the west to New York in the east. Singers do not just come from the States but from all over the world. There are many famous singers from Britain,Canada and Australia. A lot of them appear on television too.
