Charles Monroe Schulz was born in Minnesota in 1922 and grew up in Saint Paul. He was the only child of Carl Schulz. When he was young,Charles loved drawing and sometimes drew his family Spike. Spike ate unusual things. His drawing of Spike appeared (出现) in the comic (漫画书) .
