In May, 230 teenagers from 21 countries visited the country to take part in a game of their own. The Street Child World Cup got this name because all of the players are street children.

According to the United Nations, there are about 1,500,000,000 street children living around the world. Very few of them go to school and most live in poor families. People host the Street Child World Cup to show street kids challenges (挑战). They also hope the country can do more to help these children.

The games are held every four years, just before the FIFA World Cup. They started in South Africa in 2010, and then traveled to Brazil in 2014. This year, they are in Russia.

The games also help to build the children's confidence (自信). "The most important thing here is about making street children know that they can be somebody,"said John Sadock from Tanzania, who took part in the 2014 games.
