Like many girls,Ma Xiaoyi likes to keep a diary. But the Junior 3 student also likes to write something more unusual： poems.

But are students interested in poems today? Yes. According to a study of 90 students at the school,about half of them read poems and about a third want to be poets.

Yang Shuyan,another student,thinks poem lessons are more interesting than Chinese lessons. “Poets are full of imagination (想象 力) . In poem lessons,we have to use heads. Learning about poems helps me write better”’ Yang said.
