How to be a good detective£¨Õì̽£©

Have you seen the Hollywood movie Sherlock Holmes? Holmes is a character created by British writer Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. His books were so popular that Holmes soon became ¡°the most famous detective in the world¡±. In this movie, this great detective faces a dangerous man, Lord Blackwood. Together with his best friend Dr Watson, Holmes stops Blackwood¡¯s plan to control the world with black ¡°magic¡±.
Most of us are not as smart as Holmes. But we can also work out mysteries on our own. All we have to do is to follow some simple rules.
СÌâ1: No matter how smart he or she is, the most important quality for a detective is being good. In the movie, Lord Blackwood and Sherlock Holmes are both very smart. The difference is that Lord Blackwood is a bad man and he does bad things. Holmes can beat him on the side of justice (ÕýÒå).
СÌâ2: Every bad man tries to cover up what he did. But not all things can be covered up easily. A good detective can discover clues hidden at crime scenes with sharp eyes. For example, Holmes can simply look at a man¡¯s footprints and quickly find out his personal information like age and habits.
СÌâ3:Even though Holmes has knowledge about many subjects , such as chemistry, botany (Ö²Îïѧ) and anatomy, he still needs Dr Watson¡¯s help to fight with him. We should also have someone to help you, especially if you don¡¯t know as much as Holmes.
СÌâ4: A good detective never jumps to conclusions. When all the necessary clues are put together, you¡¯d better think carefully. If you can¡¯t work it out, don¡¯t be afraid. Just take a deep breath and concentrate on thinking. Logic can help you discover missing clues.

New York Cith, ¡°the capital of the world|¡±, is one of the most exciting places in the world. I was lucky enough to travel in New York City. I love it!
On the first day, we went to the Empire State Building. We went to the observation deck(¹Û¾°Ì¨). The Empire State Building was the tallest building in the world for many years. On the ovservation deck, we saw the State of Liberty Bridge, Times Square, and many other things.
The New York Public Library is a place that you must visit as a traveler. It sits next to Central Park. The park itself is full of beautiful plants in the center of Manhattan. After enjoying the sights in the park, we went to Linclon Center, St Patrick¡¯s Cathedral and several famous museums. Later we went to Broadway and Times Squre.
Night in New York is very pleasing, too. New Yorkers love to meet after work, and do so in pubs(¾Æ°É), restaurants, and the city¡¯s nightclubs. We come to a famous pub called McSorley¡¯s, which is the oldest ¡°public house¡± in America. It has been open since 1854. They serve only one drink. A favorite non-alcoholic(²»º¬¾Æ¾«)drink is the ¡°egg cream¡±. It actually has neither eggs nor cream in it, but is made with milk, chocolate, and seltzer water(ËÕ´òË®). It is delicious.
СÌâ1:What does the writer think of the New York City?

СÌâ2:What can we see on the observation deck?

СÌâ3:Where did the writer go after enjoying the sights in Central Park?

СÌâ4:How is the night in New York?

СÌâ5:When was the famous pub, McSorley¡¯s set up?
