Night after night, she came to help me sleep, even long after my childhood years.
I don't remember when it first started annoying me—my mom's hands pushing my hair that way. But it did annoy me, for they felt rough(粗糙的) against my young skin. One afternoon I toured an art museum while waiting for my husband to finish a business meeting. I was looking forward to a quiet view of the art works.
