Ning Zetao was born on March 6th, 1993 in Zhengzhou. He is the only child in his family. Ning Zetao started swimming at the age of 8. In October 2009, sixteen-year-old Ning took part in his first national game in Shandong. On October 26, 2013, Ning won a gold medal in the 50-meter butterfly. On August 6th, 2015, in the 100-meter freestyle competition in Kazan, Ning gave his best performance and won the gold medal. It is a great achievement in Chinese swimming and Ning is the first Asian swimmer to win a medal in this event of FINA World Championships.
