As we know, TV plays an important part in our daily life. In my opinion, watching TV is good for us.

Since it was invented, TV has been an important part of the modern life. It is also an important tool to spread culture and information. We can learn much knowledge from TV which we can't get from books. What's more, good TV programs can keep us wise and healthy. With TV, children can grow up happily.

Since TV is so important and useful, why shouldn't we watch TV often?

Walden is a quiet small town in England. Cars c go into the centre of the town, so it is very pleasant to walk around.
Spend at least half a day v the museum. It's on a hill outside the town in a lonely old building. The museum brings history to life. You can even ride on a horse and cart(Âí³µ) in the street. I was r interested in a 1950s living room in the museum. It was just l my grandmother's house. I lived there when I was a c .
If you can't wait, there is a new exhibition(Õ¹ÀÀ) opening soon. Walden is f for one thing¡ªcandy! If you like candy, this exhibition is the place for you. You can learn about its history. I n see so many different kinds of candies.
But I won't go now b it will start on the 26th of May.
When you are there, have a look around Walden too. If you start in the main square and follow the green signs, they will t you to the museum, and you will see lots of other interesting things o the way, too.

¡¾ÌâÄ¿¡¿July 16th was a bad day for Arthur Johnson. In the morning, he set off from his home in Santa Barbara, California. It was the start of his summer holidays, and he decided to visit his friends at Las Vegas. Then he hoped to go fishing at Lake Mead.

Johnson¡¯s troubles started while he was driving happily across the Mojave Desert. His car broke down and he tried to repair it, but he failed. He telephoned a workshop to ask it to send a tow truck (Íϳµ) to pull the car away and repair it.

When waiting for the tow truck, he fell asleep. While he was sleeping, a tow truck arrived from San Pedro (the nearest town) and pulled his car away. Later on, Johnson woke up and thought that somebody had stolen his car. Unwillingly, he started to walk back towards San Pedro, but a police car stopped him to find out why he was walking in the desert.

Johnson looked like a man wanted in California for robbery, so the police kept him at San Pedro for the night. The next day, Johnson¡¯s friends came from California. They proved that Johnson was a harmless salesman, so they let him go.

Many people do not like to stay at home during holidays. They want to go out to see something different or do something exciting. People from the country go to the city and people from the city go to the country for holidays. During the holidays, trains, buses and planes are all very busy. It is very hard to buy train or plane tickets. So many people take cars or buses for traveling.
Last May Day my family went to the country by car for our holiday. There was too much traffic on the road. So we had to move very slowly. It took us about an hour to get out of the town. After some time, we came to a farm. It was clean and beautiful. The animals were so cute. We thought it was a nice place for a picnic, so we stopped and took the food, fruit and drinks out of the car. We sat down under a big green tree and began to eat. Suddenly a strong wind blew and soon it started to rain. We had to run back to our car and had our picnic in the car. Then we drove back home. What a bad trip it was!
