When George's car stopped at the traffic lights he couldn't start it again．The cars behind him began to sound their horns,and the drivers began to shout．George got out of his car and pushed his car to the side of the road．
A young man and his girlfriend were standing nearby,“Excuse me,”said George,“do you know anything about cars?”
Before the girl could say anything,her boyfriend said,“Leave it me．”“Then he opened the bonnet at the front of the car,”Oh,dear,it looks very bad．“He shook his head and whistled．”George was a little surprised,saying,“In fact,…er…The engine is at the back．”
“Oh,”said the young man．“it's a foreign car．Then I can't help you．”
“Can I have a look now?”asked the girl politely．
She took the cover off the engine at the back of the car,asked George for his kit,and worked for five minutes．The car started at once．
“Thank you,”said George．“Can I give you a lift anywhere?”
“Yes,”said the girl．“To the library,I'm going to get him a book about cars．”
