 My favorite artist is Xu Beihong. He is a great artist in the modern history of China. He was born in a village of Jiangsu Province in 1895. He began to learn to draw pictures when he was 9 years old. He worked very hard. He went to study in France between 1919 and 1927 • After the new China was set up ， he became the director of the Central Institute of Arts(艺术研究中心).He was best known for his drawings of running horses ， but the artist himself would rather enjoy his drawings of cats. After his death in 1953,Xu Beihong Museum was set up in Beijing.
