The top scorers in the gaokao, China’s national college entrance exam, have always been a major focus during the results coming out. Recently, China University Alumni Association（中国大学校友会） published a report based on its research into more than 3,000 provincial-level top scorers from 1952~2015 in Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. They found that the most popular universities they choose are Peking University, Tsinghua University, The University of HK and Taiwan University. Generally, top scorers engaged（从事） on various professions with higher salary after their graduation. Here are some other findings about the top scorers.
