    A man had a big garden (花园) around his house. One day when the man was watering flowers in his garden, an old yellow dog came to his garden. The dog looked at the man and then lay down (躺下) next to a tree in the garden.

    When the man finished his work and walked to the house,the dog walked behind him. When they were in the living room, the dog jumped on the sofa, closed his eyes and slept for one hour.Then he woke up and walked to the door. The man let the dog out.

    The next day the dog came again. He jumped on the sofa and slept for an hour.This happened every day for three weeks.The man wanted to know why the dog came to his house. He wrote these words on a piece of paper, " Every afternoon your dog comes to my house and sleeps for one hour on my sofa., " Then the man put this piece of paper on the dog's collar (项圈).
