Lou Ye-directed film Blind Massage won best feature film, best new performer, best adapted screenplay, best cinematography, best sound effects and best editing.
The annual Golden Horse Awards are one of the most important film honors in the Chinese-speaking world. It was founded in 1962 and held annually in Taiwan.
