1.One day while a beggar (乞丐) was walking along from door to door begging,he was wondering why rich people were so greedy (贪婪的) and were always wanting more.
He came to a house.The owner had been a successful business man,and made himself terribly rich as a young man.But he was not satisfied.He built ships and sent them to sea to do business with foreign lands.But there were terrible storms on the sea,his ships were broken,and his riches were all lost in the sea.
"Men seem to be never satisfied unless they get the whole world.As for me,if I had only enough to eat and to wear,I would not want anything more,"the beggar said to himself.

"Oh,yes,I understand,"said the beggar.
"Then take care,"said the Fortune."Your wallet is old.It can't hold much."
The beggar was so happy that he could hardly wait.He quickly opened his wallet,and a stream of yellow dollars poured into it.The wallet grew heavy.
"Is that enough?"asked Fortune.
"Not yet."
"Can you still hold it?"
"Yes."
The beggar's hands began to tremble.He wished the gold would keep pouring.
"You are the richest man in the world now!"
"Just a little more, add just one or two."
"There,it's full.The wallet will break."
"But it will hold a little, just a little more!"
Another piece was added,and the wallet broke.The gold fell on the ground and turned to dust.

解答 51.答案A 细节理解题 由文中 The owner had been a successful business man, and made himself terribly rich as a young man可知 主人是一个成功的商人,是一个非常有钱的年轻人,故选A
52.答案B 细节理解题 由文中 He built ships and sent them to sea to do business with foreign lands. But there were terrible storms on the sea, his ships were broken, and his riches were all lost in the sea可知 他建造了船,并派他们到海上与外国人做生意,但一场可怕的风暴使他的船沉了,他的财富都在海上失去了,故选B
