Country music is one of the most popular kinds of music in the United States today because it is about simple but strong human feelings and events—love, sadness, good times, and bad times. Country music, sometimes called country western, comes from two lands of music. One is the traditional music of the people in the Appalachian Mountains in the eastern United States. Today country music is also popular everywhere in the United States and Canada—in small towns and in New York City, among black and white, and among educated and uneducated people. About 1,200 radio stations broadcast country music twenty four hours a day. English stars sing it in British and people in other countries sing it in their own languages. The music that started with cowboys and poor Southerners is now popular all over the world.

We must close down most of our factories that would reduce rubbish and the air pollution. We must recycle more, give up all cars and improve public transport. “Things are not as bad as Forest says. We all have a bright future. We don’t need to give up cars, but we do need to invent better, cleaner cars that do not pollute the environment. She said, “Our city looks different from before—it is cleaner and greener now.
Science has made life better in so many ways. A hundred years ago, most people died before the age of fifty because life was so hard. We can’t go back to a world like that.”

Blood donation is a very important activity. It is an easy and direct way to contribute to social work and helps the community. Blood donation is not a big problem, but you need to keep a few points in mind.
Before donating blood, make sure that the ferrum(铁) level in your body is high enough and for that you should take a healthy diet. Do not go for blood donation on an empty stomach. After having a balanced diet, you will feel strong and comfortable to donate blood.
For required hemoglobin(血红蛋白) in your body, drink lots of juice and other drinks. Fruit juice, such as apple juice is very good for increasing the blood level in your body.
For a good blood flow in your body, drink at least 6-7 glasses of water every day. Don’t take alcohol(酒) a day before and after giving blood. Do not smoke half an hour before giving blood.
When you are going for blood donation, be relaxed, which helps keep the right blood pressure. During the blood donation activity, take a deep breath and try to calm yourself. Don’t join in some other activities.
You need to take care of yourself after donating blood. Take a rest for 15 minutes after completion of the donation. It helps you to feel relaxed. Make sure that you have meals after donating blood. Smoking should be avoided for one hour after the process. Don’t join in some activities right away, for example, driving.
