【题目】Charlie Chaplin was born in London on April 16, 1889. His parents were music hall actors. The Chaplin family was very poor, and life was difficult. Charles often wandered (流浪) the city streets to look for food and shelter. Charlie used to do his mother's job in the theatre when she was ill.
At the age of 17, Chaplin got his first real job as an actor. What he did was to do silly things to make people laugh in the theatre. Seven years later he went to the USA. And over the next four years, he formed his own way of art. He developed the character of a homeless gentleman which became very popular.
From the 1920s to the 1950s, Chaplin made his most famous films. The film Modern Times (1936) shows his care about the modern industry workers. He won his only Oscar for the music he wrote for the film Limelight. Many of his films describe the poor life and hard time of the working people during that period. He is regarded as “The King of Comedy”.
Although Charlie Chaplin was British, he lived in the USA until 1953. But he never got the US nationality (国籍). Then Chaplin, his wife and his five children had to move to Switzerland where he lived until he died. He was named Sir Charles Chaplin at the age of 85. Charlie Chaplin died in Switzerland on December 25th, 1975.

【题目】任务型阅读
阅读下面短文,根据要求完成下列各题。
The K-Cup is a great invention. We can see the product everywhere in the world. However, its inventor, John Sylvan, said in an interview, “I feel bad sometimes that I ever did it.”
Why? Because it’s bad for the environment. K-Cups are almost impossible to recycle. John Sylvan couldn’t do much about the problem. He sold the invention to Keurig Green Mountain for $50,000 in 1997. Keurig Green Mountain made $4.7 billion last year. Much of that money came thanks to K-Cups.
“I’ve told them how to improve the K-Cup, but they don’t listen,” said John Sylvan. Sylvan has found solutions, like reusable K-Cups. He said he even tested his design years ago, and it worked.
However, Keurig Green Mountain refused John Sylvan’s advice. The company said that it had a plan of its own and that it would make 100% of K-Cup packs recyclable by 2020.
