I’m writing to tell you about the discussion we recently had about whether or not it is good for families to own cars.
With the improvement of people’s living conditions, more and more families have their own cars. Some of us think it’s good to own a car, as a car provides convenient, fast and comfortable transport. Also, the increase in the number of car owners shows that people are becoming richer, and that the country is becoming stronger. Thirdly, the fact that people buy cars makes other industries develop faster.
However, some other students have a different opinion. They think that cars give off waste gas and make the air polluted. They also said that too many cars would cause traffic jams, lead to more accidents and endanger people’s lives. Finally, they said that parking is another big problem.
In short, people should think twice before buying a car.
