Last Sunday morning, when I was having a walk in the park near my home, I came across a crew make a new film with one of my favorite actor. I didn’t have my camera with me at that time, but I rushed back home to get. Unfortunately, by the time I got back, they have finished the scene and the actor couldn’t be seen everywhere. I couldn’t believe my luck---not only did I had my photo taken with him, but he signed his name on my shirt!

but表示转折;so表示前因后果,and表示并列。
这里用it代替上文的my camera .
根据by the time I got back 可知在回来之前就已经走了,故表示过去的过去也就是过去完成时,故用had.
walk out of a building从楼里走出来。
in the front of在某物的前面(指内部);in front of在某物的前面(指外部)这里表示在某人的前面。
not only …but also放在句首时not only后的句子用倒装,因为前面已经有did,故后面用原形have.
