They think these houses are so old that they affect the appearance of the city. The main avenue, Renming Road, is already too crowded and it badly needs widening. What’s more, the city can be planned as a whole.
But still there are some who hold just the opposite view. They complain their houses are located in the busy shopping center, where life is convenient for them. They have become used to living there. Moreover, it needs a large sum of money to rebuild the city. It would be better to invest more in the development of the new city.
