    I'm writing to you about the industrial area which will be built near our town.  Recently the local government has decided to build an industrial area, which has aroused heated argument.

    Some agree that we should build the industrial area.  If we do so,  many new jobs can be created, which will increase people's income and improve their living standards.   What's more, it can push the development of the local economy and the natural resources can also be made good use of.

    But others oppose the idea, because they think it will pollute the environment. They believe that it will produce noise which will disturb people's peaceful life. Furthermore, a lot of farmland will be built on.

    Personally, I agree with the second view. Economic development should never be at the cost of the environment we must pay attention to sustainable development so that we'll have a better hometown in the future.
