    When my new neighbor moves in, I did not want to meet her as I was shy. But she seemed so nice that I hoped one day I would be able meet her.

    One day, my neighbour invited me to her house. I started to hesitate though I felt kind of happily. Then I reminded myself of that t his would be a good chance to meet her. But I went there and had the great time with her. That week, I made a few cakes and gave it to her. She thanked me very sincere. A week later I decided to send her some cookie. This time I didn’t run away but stood there smile at her instead.

    【题目】 Dale Carnegie(戴尔·卡耐基) was an American writer and lecturer, and the developer of famous courses in self-improvement, salesmanship, corporate training, public speaking and interpersonal skills.

    Born in 1888 in Maryville, Missouri, Carnegie was a poor farmer's boy. His family moved to Belton, Missouri when he was a small child. In his teens, though still having to get up at 4 am every day to milk his parents' cows, he managed to obtain an education at the State Teacher's College in Warrensburg.     After saving $500, Dale Carnegie quit sales in 1911 in order to achieve a lifelong dream of becoming a lecturer. He ended up instead attending the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, but found little success as an actor. Later he got the idea to teach public speaking. In his first session, he suggested that students speak about "something that made them angry", and discovered the technique that made speakers unafraid to address a public audience. From its beginning, the Dale Carnegie Course developed. Carnegie had made use of the average American's desire to have more self-confidence.

    Perhaps one of Carnegie's most successful marketing moves was to change the spelling of his last name from "Carnagey" to Carnegie, at a time when Andrew Carnegie was a widely recognized name.

    Carnegie's works include Lincoln the Unknown (1932), Public Speaking and Influencing Men in Business (1937), and How to Stop Worrying and Start Living (1948). His greatest achievement, however, was when Simon &. Schuster published How to Win Friends and Influence People. The book was a bestseller from 1936. By the time of Carnegie's death, the book had sold five million copies in 31 languages, and there had been 450,000 graduates of his Dale Carnegie Institute.

    Carnegie died at his home in New York in 1955.

    【题目】 The STAR Eco Station is an environmental science museum, a wildlife rescue center, and a shelter for endangered and illegally-traded foreign animals confiscated （没收）by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.     Field trips

    STAR Eco Station hosts field trips for schools and camps throughout Southern California. Each field trip lasts two hours, consisting of a one-hour gathering and a one-hour tour of the facility, with lessons associated with California State Science Standards.

    Throughout the field trip, students learn about the latest developments in environmental protection and the ways in which wildlife interacts with various ecosystems.     Public tours

    Guided tours of the STAR Eco Station introduce visitors to over two hundred rescued foreign wildlife. Each tour is led by an Eco Station staff member, and features fun animal facts, hands-on animal encounters, surprising rescue stories, environmental exhibits, and original approaches to going green. Visitors may only see the animals on a guided tour, for both your safety and the safety of our animals.

    The guided tour lasts approximately 45-60 minutes. Visitors are served on a first-come, first-served basis. No reservations are required. However, tours may sell out. We suggest larger groups schedule a private tour.

    Last month, I gave some of my clothes to a girl who needed it because her parents didn't have money to buy her newly clothes. In school, this girl was the victim of bullying because of the clothes that she wears.S0 1 went home and was told mom that I'd like collect something for her.     On my way home after school there had an accident. A heavy truck hit a bike, caused the young woman on the bike fall to the ground heavily. As a result, one of her legs broken. Blood was running down his leg. A lot of people stood by watching, but everybody gave her a hand. I hurriedly stopped a passed car, and the driver and I carried the injury woman into the car. Then we took her to the hospital of nearby. The doctors treated her in time and she is soon out of danger.
