       Firstly, most students have never stayed far away from home until they are admitted to universities．Since this is the first time for them to travel to college, they need their parents’ company and help．

       Secondly, being the only child in the family, they lack social experience, so their parents will not feel relieved unless they accompany them to college．

       Thirdly, parents can take the opportunity to travel with their children, relaxing and enjoying sightseeing on the journey．

       Last but not least, parents can help their children to get used to the college environment sooner and make a good start of their college life．As far as I am concerned, I would be very happy if my parents accompany me to my university．

       Against: I don't think it's necessary for parents to accompany their children to college．We have grown up and can look after ourselves without our parents' help．As far as I am concerned, I can manage to travel alone to college．I may also invite some other students as companions if possible．I'm sure by relying on myself I can train myself to be more independent and gain more social experience．I believe the service for freshmen must be good enough and well organized．I can fit in with the new environment and make new friends very soon．
