13.Nowadays,millions(61)of lonely singles are now going online instead.The World Wide Web is quickly becoming the world's most popular matchmaker(媒人)
Singles are flocking to the Internet(62)mainly (main) because their busy lifestyles leave them little time to look for(63)a significant life companion.Using dating sites( 约会网址) is quick an d convenient.Many singles say the regular dating scene(64)has led (lead) them from one bad experience to(65)another and are ready to try something else.Dating sites also make(66)it easy to avoid someone  (67)who/whomyou are not interested in.In the real world,(68)however,ignoring someone you don't like can be difficult.
Despite all the advantages,online dating also presents its own set of problems.People aren't always those who they declare to be in their online(69)descriptions(describe).Safety is another concern.You are just likely(70)to find  (find) a criminal online vas your Mr or Miss Right.

解答 61.of           考查固定短语的用法        millions of 为固定短语,意为:上百万的,数以百万计的;这里指的是:上百万的孤独的单身人士;故填 of;
62.mainly    考查副词的用法        此处用来修饰"because their busy lifestyles leave them little time to look for(63)a significant life companion."这一整句话,需要用副词形式;意为:主要是因为他们繁忙的生活方式使得他们没有时间去寻找一位重要的人生伴侣;故填副词mainly;
63.a           考查冠词的用法       这里表示泛指:一位重要的人生伴侣;故填不定冠词a;
64.has led   考查时态    此处表示定期的约会场所对单身人士所造成的影响;即:使他们从一种不好的经历到另一种经历;故应使用现在完成时has led;
65.another  考查不定代词的用法    这里指的是"从一种不好的经历到另一种经历";所以应使用from one…to another从一个…到另外一个;故填another;
66.it          考查it作形式宾语的用法    本句真正的宾语是动词不定式to avoid someone…;故用it作形式宾语;
67.who/whom  考查关系代词的用法     分析句意可知,本句是定语从句;先行词someone(指人)在从句中作的是宾语;故用关系代词who/whom;
68.however     考查连词的用法    根据上句"交友网站很容易避开那些你不感兴趣的人",下句"在现实世界中,忽视你不喜欢的人是困难的"可知,前后两句之间是转折关系,另外句中有逗号将句子隔开,故填however;
69.descriptions   考查名词的用法    由于此处用在了形容词性的物主代词their 之后,意为:他们在网上的描述;故用名词descriptions;
70.to find   考查固定短语的用法    固定短语be likely to"很有可能";故填to find.

1.The longer a teenager spends using electronic devices such as computers and smartphones,the worse their sleep will be,a study of nearly 10,00016-to 19-year-olds suggests.
More than two hours of screen time after school was strongly linked to both delayed and shorter sleep.Almost all the teens from Norway said they used the devices shortly before going to bed.Many said they often got less than five hours sleep a night.
The teens were asked questions about their sleep routine on weekdays and at weekends,as    well as how much screen time they clocked up outside school hours.On average,girls said they    spent around five and a half hours a day watching TV or using computers,smartphones or other    electronic devices.And boys spent slightly more time in front of a screen around six and a half hours a day,on average.Playing computer games was more popular among the boys,whereas girls were more likely to spend their time chatting online!
Any type of screen use during the day and in the hour before bedtime appeared to disturb    sleep-making it more difficult for teenagers to nod off.And the more hours they spent on these devices,the more disturbed their sleep became:When daytime screen use totalled four or more hours,teens had a 49%greater risk of taking longer than an hour to fall asleep.These teens also tended to get less than five hours of sleep per night.
Dr.Hysing said her findings had suggestions for the wider population as so many people  use these devices."We know that sufficient sleep is essential for good physical and mental health.Logging off may be one important step toward securing a good night's sleep."
Prof Rnssell Foster,an expert the University of Oxford,said,"This is an important study  as it provides practical evidence that the use of electronic devices before bed does indeed reduce sleep duration."He said teenagers should be warned of this.
28.What is stressed in the first two paragraphsB?
A.Teens now tend to have more problems with studies.
B.Teens get harder to fall asleep with more screen time.
C.Teens addicted to screen are likely to be more energetic.
D.Teens'sleep duration has nothing to do with their screen time.

5.There are two factors which determine an individual's intelligence.The first is sort of brain he is born with.Human brains differ considerable,some being more capable than others.But no matter how good a brain he has to begin with,an individual will have a low intelligence unless he has opportunities to learn.So the second factor is what happens to the individual-the sort of the environment in which he is brought up.If an individual is handicapped(受阻碍) environmentally,it is likely that his brain will stop to develop and he will never attain the level of intelligence of which he is capable.
The importance of environment in determining an individual's intelligence can be proved by the identical twins,Peter and John.When the twins were three months old,their parents died,and they were placed in separate foster(寄养) homes.Peter was reared by parents of low intelligence in an isolated community with poor educational opportunities.John,however,was educated in the home well-to-do parents who had been to college.This environmental difference continued until the twins were in their late teens,when they were given tests to measure their intelligence.John's IQ was 125,twenty-five points higher than the average and fully forty points higher than his brother.
