    It's my pleasure to be here today representing my group, to report a research project“The World 
Food Crisis". As you might know, food shortages have hit many countries across the world and even 
caused many social problems in lots of areas.  But who is responsible for the current world food crisis?

Good Morning/Afternoort/Evening folks,    
    It's my pleasure to be here today representing my grnup, to re-port a research project "The World
Food C.risis". As you mightknow, food shortages have hit many countries across the world andeven
caused many social problems in lots of areas. But who is re-sponsible for the current world food crisis?
There are a couple offundamental factors behind this.      
    Global climate change is the main reason for declining annualgrain production. Rapid development of
modern industry and ur-banization at the same time contribute to massive farmland loss.Furthermore,
actracted by profit due to rising energy prires, peoplehave turned to the production of biofuels, which has worsened thesevere situation.    
    The question is what we should do to solve this. On onehand, we must start focusing on environmental
protection and bedevoted to ecological improvement. On the other hand,strict lawsand policies need to
be in place to keep existing farmland. Lastbut not least, developed countries should take more
responsibilitiesto help poor regions suffering food issues.      
    As for us, we should call on the people around us to live morethrifiily. Let's study more diligently,
aiming to participating in sol-ving the root cause of the world food crisis in the near future.
