Dear Jane,
I¡¯m glad to hear from you again and it¡¯s an honor to introduce ¡°Tomb-sweeping day¡± to you.
Tomb-sweeping day is a traditional festival of China, which can date back to about 2500 years ago. It is celebrated on 4th,April. (which was originated from approximately zhou dynasty with a history of more than 2500 years.)
On tomb-sweeping day, people will go back to there hometown to express their grief. There is no restriction for people to express the grief. We often burn some paper money to express our missing to our ancestors.
In fact, besides "burning money paper", we can do more, such as we can go for a trip during these sunshine days with our relatives n friends, or have a deep talk after gather again. In some places, Chinese usually fly kites on this day. It is said that in this way people will also be protected from bad luck and disease.
We should treat well to our relatives and friends who are still alive, give them more care and love, besides remember our ancestors.
