     Reading Interests of Senior Middle School Students Recently a survey has been done to find out the reading
interests of senior middle school students. I have spoken with one thousand students from 10 senior middle
schools in Hubei Province. I asked them which one they liked most among four kinds of English readings:
newspapers, stories, science stories for people and articles on how to study quickly.  
     According to the survey, 53 percent of the total students, as against 26 percent of those who enjoy stories
most, like reading newspapers most. There are 14% percent students are most interested in reading science
stories for people. The number of those science-lovers is twice as many as the number of students whose
favorites are articles on how to study quickly. All in all, most senior middle school students are fond of reading
newspapers.
