Dear John,

We held a speech contest on the playground last Saturday morning. Twenty students selected from ten classes, two for each class, took part in it Five teachers of English worked as judges while all the students in the school viewed the contest. The topic of the speech is “to make our campus more beautiful”. In the speeches, the students insisted what we should keep our campus clean by avoiding littering, take good care of the plants so that we can enjoy the greenness and behave well and care for others so that everyone feels loved on campus. Finally, six students gained prizes, including the two from my class. I think all of us have learned a lot from the speeches. We all mean what we say. So our campus will surely become more beautiful.
