    How about the difference between grade levels in high school？Come on．There is a distinct difference from being a senior and a freshman．At gatherings，the senior class boos（喝倒彩） every other grade，sometimes causing fights．Being a senior，I don't want to make negative comments on people in other grade levels．High school is hard enough as it is．Freshman，sophomores and juniors don't need four hundred students to remind them．
    Trying to impress everyone is hard．Most of the stress we have as teens is living up to everyone else's expectations．The only people we need to impress are ourselves．Be in competition with yourself and you'll live a happier life．

    So if what we eat is what we are，what are Americans？Well，meat．"If Americans have any unifying food identity，I would say we are a mostly white meat culture，"says Barber．"The protein-centric dinner plate，whether you're talking about a boneless chicken breast，or a 16-ounce steak，as an everyday expectation is something that America really created，and now exports to the rest of the world．"
    Every single culture and religion uses food as part of their celebrations，says Ellen Gustafson，co-founder of the FEED Project and The 30Project，which aims to deal with both hunger and overweight issues globally．"The celebratory nature of food is universal．Every season，every harvest，and every holiday has its own food，and this is true in America as well．It helps define us．"

    The United Nations found that more than 95percent of households in sub-Saharan Africa depend on solid fuels for cooking．It says huge populations in India，China and Latin American countries，such as Guatemala and Peru，also are at risk．
    Nigel Brace is a professor of Public Health at the University of Liverpoo1．He says researchers are developing good cook-stoves and other equipment to burn fuels in a more efficient way．There are already multiple technologies available for use in clean fuels．There is really quite an effective and reasonably low-cost alcohol stove that is made by Dometic（a Sweden-based company）that is now being tested out．LPG（liquified petroleum gas）cook is obviously widely available and efforts are under way to make those efficient．Another interesting development is electric induction stoves（电磁炉）．WHO experts note some new，safe and low-cost technologies that could help are already available．In India，you can bay an induction stove for about 8.00．AndinAfricayoucanbuyasolarlampforlessthan1.00．

    1．The longer a teenager spends using electronic devices such as computers and smartphones，the worse their sleep will be，a study of nearly 10，00016-to 19-year-olds suggests．
    More than two hours of screen time after school was strongly linked to both delayed and shorter sleep．Almost all the teens from Norway said they used the devices shortly before going to bed．Many said they often got less than five hours sleep a night．

    Any type of screen use during the day and in the hour before bedtime appeared to disturb    sleep-making it more difficult for teenagers to nod off．And the more hours they spent on these devices，the more disturbed their sleep became：When daytime screen use totalled four or more hours，teens had a 49%greater risk of taking longer than an hour to fall asleep．These teens also tended to get less than five hours of sleep per night．
    Dr．Hysing said her findings had suggestions for the wider population as so many people  use these devices．"We know that sufficient sleep is essential for good physical and mental health．Logging off may be one important step toward securing a good night's sleep．"

    2．The newspaper must provide for the reader the facts，pure，unprejudiced，objectively selected facts．But in these days of complex news it must provide more； it must supply interpretation，the meaning of the facts．This is the most important assignment facing American journalists-to make clear to the reader the problems of the day，to make international news understandable as community news，to recognize that there is no longer any such thing as"local"news，because any event in the international area has a local reaction in the financial market，political circles，in terms，indeed，of our very way of life．
    There is in journalism a widespread view that when you start an interpretation，you are entering dangerous waters，the rushing tides of opinion．This is nonsense．
    The opponents of interpretation insist that the writer and the editor shall limit himself to the"facts"．This insistence raises two questions．What are the facts？And：Are the bare facts enough？
    As for the first question，consider how a so called"factual"story comes about．The reporter collects，say，fifty facts； out of these fifty，his space being necessarily restricted，he selects the ten which he considers most important．This is Judgment Number One．Then he or his editor decides which of these ten facts shall hold the lead of the piece．This is Judgment Number Two．Then the night editor determines whether the article shall be presented on page one，where it has a large influence，or on page twentyfour，where it has little．Judgment Number Three．
    Thus in the presentation of a socalled"factual"or"objective"story，at least three judgments are involved．And they are judgments not at all unlike those involved in interpretation，in which reporter and editor，calling upon their research resources，their general background，and their"news neutralism（中立）"，arrive at a conclusion as to the significance of the news．
    The two areas of judgment，presentation of the news and its interpretation，are both objective rather than subjective processes-as objective，that is，as any human being can be．If an editor is determined to give a prejudiced view of the news，he can do it in other ways and more effectively than by interpretation．He can do it by the selection of those facts that support his particular viewpoint．Or he can do it by the place he gives a story-promoting it to page one or dragging it to page thirty．
