Jane Goodall, born in England in 1934, was a world famous zoologist, who graduated from Cambridge University. Since her childhood she had wanted to work with animals in their natural environment. In 1960, she achieved her dream¡ªshe arrived in Africa to study the chimps.
Nobody before Jane fully understood chimp behavior. She found that chimps hunt and eat meat. She also discovered how chimps communicate with each other. She argued that wild animals should be left in the wild. Thanks to her help, some special reserves have been set up, where chimps can live safely.
Having devoted all her time to studying chimps, Jane Goodall gained many honours. Her spirit inspires many people.

Taking parts in recreation activities help us keep fit. There are different kinds of activity in our daily life, for example, listening to music, watching TV, playing chess, or going to cinema. But I think we¡¯d better to have more outdoor activities. As students, we usually sit too longer in the classroom, and as a result our eyes and brains getting tired. But it is a good idea to play ball games, go swimming, do some runnings, or even go for a picnic. Our brains also need changes to make itself smart and active. In a word, exercise is good for health.

Using Garbage as a Fuel
Garbage can be a good fuel to use. The things in garbage do not look ¡¾1¡¿ coal, petroleum, or natural gas, but they are chemically similar to these fossil fuels. As we use up our fossil fuel supplies, we might be able to use garbage as ¡¾2¡¿ energy source. Burning garbage ¡¾3¡¿ ( be) not a new idea. Some cities in Europe and the United States ¡¾4¡¿ (burn) garbage for years. The heat that is produced by burning garbage is used to boil water. The steam that is produced is used to make electricity or to heat nearby ¡¾5¡¿ ( build). In Paris, France, some power plants burn almost 2 million metric tons of the city¡¯s garbage each year. The amount of energy ¡¾6¡¿ (produce) is about the same as would be produced by burning almost a half million barrels of oil!
But there are problems in using garbage as a fuel. Garbage that burns ¡¾7¡¿ (easy) , such as food and paper, must be separated from metals, glass, and other materials ¡¾8¡¿ do not. Another problem is that burning garbage can pollute the air. Our fossil fuel supplies are ¡¾9¡¿ (limit) . Burning garbage might be one kind of energy source that we can use to help meet our energy needs. This method could also reduce the amount of garbage ¡¾10¡¿ (pile) up on the earth.

A very exciting thing happened this evening after dinner. I was outside my apartment with my friend Sunny and suddenly some funny clowns came dance down the street. After they had been gone, a beautiful lady rided past on a wonderful white horse. She told us that there had a circus in town tomorrow night. Then a man came along with two tiny dog. One of the dogs had a plastic envelope in it mouth. The man told us to take the envelope. When we open it, it had two free tickets of the circus inside. We were so surprising. Tomorrow is going to be best night ever!
