Recently, a survey has been conducted among young netizens about what motivates the youth to work hard. The results are as follows.

79.3% of the surveyed netizens say that their main motivation is to help their parents to live a better life while 67.7% claim that they work hard in order to change their own fate. 66.8% respond that they want to improve their own life. Besides, 64.2% make great efforts so as to make their children live better.

Different persons have different motivation to make progress, but there is something in common that they want themselves or their relatives to live in better conditions. As far as I can see, it is the motivation to live a better life that inspires the youth to work hard.
