I just came back from Britain last week. I was luckily enough to be one of the students from
different country to visit the UK from Feb. 16 to 28. We paid a visit to a good many of places, like
London, Oxford or the Lake District. I learned much about British culture and history in London,
where was my favorite. I also liked Oxford, in which I saw much more old buildings. The Lake
District was beautiful, but it was pity that it rained heavily when they were there. The most excited
thing for me in Britain was that I make a lot of friends there.

     It would be difficulty to imagine modern life with the telephone. It has become a useful instrument of
communication, save much time and travel by enabling people to talk one another over great distances.
Nowadays it is so easy to talk cross a continent or even overseas as it is to talk to one's next-door neighbor.
Therefore, it is in emergencies which the telephone really proves its usefulness. When there is a fire, and
when someone is suddenly ill, the first thing one thinks of it is “ Where is the nearest telephone?”

     Sports and games do much good to our health. They can make us strongly and keep us fit. Especially they
can be of very value to people who work with their brains most of the day, for sports and games give people
valuable practices in exercising the body. Sports and games also very useful in character-training. They usually
demand not only of physical skill and strength but also courage, discipline and teamwork. For boys and girls,
which is learned on the playground often has a deep effect on their characters. If each of them learned to work
for his team and not for him on the football field, he will later find it natural to work for good of his country,
