       Failure is unavoidable on one’s way to success and should not be afraid of. If one wants to succeed, he should have a plan and stick to it.

       Experiencing failure is unavoidable on your journey to success. Every defeat is only a small part of victory. You’ll find that the number of times you succeed is in direct proportion(成比例) to the number of times you fail and keep trying.

Failure is nothing but education, and nothing but the first step to something better. You can’t be afraid to lose. It isn’t enough to just want something. You’re going to need a plan to get the things that you want.

The problem is learning how to bridge the gap which exists between where you are now and the goals that you want to reach. With a definite step-by-step plan you cannot fail because each step will carry you along to the next step like a track. All you need is the plan, the road map and the courage to move on to your destination.

Knowing where you’re going is all you need to get there. You can’t get lost on a straight road.

Vivek opens up the window of his room and feels the fresh air of the morning. This is a very special day in his life. He is enjoying himself, recollecting all the efforts he has taken to see this day in his life.

    Vivek, an engineering graduate, was rejected from selection 12 times. After every attempt he learned something new about his personality and corrected his mistake. He believed that his failure was not defeat but an important step to achieving his goal. He prepared and practiced well and got through in his 13^th attempt (the number which everyone believes is unlucky). Vivek has proved that there is nothing called luck but sincere effort is what takes one to success.

    Vivek, from all his previous experience he had faced during the selection process, had taken it as a challenge to perform well during his training period. He believed in himself and completed his training in style.

    Vivek wears white uniform and is ready for the Passing Out Parade. He has marched all his life to perform at the Indian Naval Academy. Vivek’s parents are present to see their getting commissioned as an officer. They are also proud of their son for his achievement.

    Now vivek marches up the stage to receive the Sword of Honor Award from the Naval Chief. Vivek’s achievement is something really great and the whole crowd becomes delighted and excited when Vivek’s story is narrated to the world. Vivek has given this moral（寓意）to the world: After every dark night there is bright sunlight.

Most people think it's fine to be “busy as a beaver (海狸).” But actually, although beavers may work hard, often they don't get much done.

Beavers are good at building dams and most beaver dams are wonders of engineering. The best ones are strongly built of trees, stones, and mud. They are wide at the bottom and narrow at the top.

Beavers think nothing of building a dam more than two hundred feet long. One dam, in Montana, was more than two thousand feet long. The largest one ever seen was in New Hampshire. It stretched four thousand feet. It made a lake large enough to hold forty beaver homes.

So beavers do build good dams. But they don't always build them in the right places. They just don't plan. They will build a dam across the widest part of the stream. They don't try to find a place where the stream is narrow. So a lot of their hard work is wasted.

Beavers should learn that it's not enough to be busy. You have to know what you're doing, too. For example, there was one Oregon beaver that really was a worker. It decided to fix a hole in a man-made dam. After five days of work it gave up. The hole it was trying to fill was the space that boats go through.
