9、One possible version

Whether to cancel the division of science and arts in senior middle school is an issue of controversy nowadays．We have heard many different voices about it．Some experts，as we can see from the cartoon，approve of it while other senior school students are opposed to it．

Some experts stand for the view that the division of science and arts limits the overall development of the students．With the prospect of Knowledge Economy brightened，the experts firmly believe that the students with varieties of ability can adapt to the high pace of the developing society more smoothly．

As for me，I hold the same opinion as the experts．There are two reasons accounting for this. On one hand, if the examination system is reformed，the students can benefit from canceling the division of science and arts and develop their integrating qualities．On the other hand，it’s hard for a senior student to decide in what direction he or she will develop in the future．

Weighing the pros and cons，I think if a student is really self-motivated and working hard，it makes no difference whether to cancel the division of science and arts．
