1、Why do we go to university?

These days all my classmates are talking about why we go to university. Different people have different views on it.

Some of us senior middle school students have many beautiful dreams, believing that attending university means realizing our beautiful dreams and it is ideal for us to study at university. What’s more, going to university enables us to get better jobs and higher positions as well as higher salaries after we graduate. However, life at universities and the jobs we get after graduation often make us feel greatly disappointed.

In my opinion, the university is a place which provides good study opportunities and essential conditions for those who are eager to acquire extensive and profound knowledge, as well as broaden their horizons so that they could make great contributions to society in the future.
