1、At 3:00 on the morning of April 15, 2005, a big earthquake shook our city. A great number of buildings were destroyed. Bridges fell. Besides, the electricity and water were cut off, which made the survivors’ life very difficult. The number of the injured and the dead has risen to over 2,000 and still there are many people missing. Luckily, the army came to help. They helped to dig out people who were trapped under the ruins. Fresh water, food and shelters were offered to survivors. People all over the country raised money for the disaster-hit areas.
