Great to have hear from you and please allow me to introduce you the present public transport of Chengdu .
Since 1995 , things have greatly changed . Now 4, 000 buses , making it over 3 times those of 1995 , run on 750 routes . And by 2008, 12,000 buses will cover 1,200 routes .
The highways have covered 5,000km and the length will reach 10, 000 km by 2008 , however , in 1995 only 1,000km existed . In addition , The present length of 50 km underground railways and city-rails , fast and safe , will increase to 200km by 2008 while in 1995 hardly could any be seen .
There is no doubt that the convenience today will ensure you a much better public transport of Chengdu in 2008 .
