    That year,she finished her run to San Francisco.Her dad ran every kilometer  at her side,and her mom,a nurse,followed in a car in case(万一)anything went wrong.The next year,on the way to Portland,a bone(骨头)broke in her foot.A doctor told her she had to stop.But she didn’t stop.So she kept running to Portland.Four months later,Merry ran to Washington and shook the hand of the president of the USA.
