¡¾´ð°¸¡¿Every year thousands of people get hurt or die in traffic accidents. Most of these people are old people and children. Old people often get hurt or die because they can't see or hear very well. Children usually meet with accidents because of their carelessness.
To reduce traffic accidents, we must obey the traffic rules. For the drivers, they shouldn't drive too fast. If they drive too fast, it will be very difficult to stop the cars in a very short time. For we students, when we walk across the road, we must try to walk along the pavements. We must look both sides before crossing the road.

¡¾ÌâÄ¿¡¿ English teenagers will take cooking lessons in schools. The idea is to solve the problem that many people are overweight. Also, it worries people that basic cooking and food preparation skills are being lost because parents use too much fast food.
Cooking was once regarded as an important part of education in England-even if it was mainly for girls. In recent years cooking has become less important in schools. But the rising level of obesity (·ÊÅÖ) has led to a rethink about the food that children are given and the skills they should be taught.
"What we want is to teach young people how to do basic and simple meals, which they can use at home and in their life," said Ed Balls, an education expert. The new lessons will start in September, but some schools without kitchens will be given time to prepare. Also, there may be a shortage of teachers with right skills, since schools teach food technology rather than practical cooking. Besides, the lessons for handson cooking will only be one hour a week for one term. But the well-known cookery writer, Pru Leith, believes it will be worth it. "If we'd done this thirty years ago, we might not lack knowledge about food. Every child should know how to cook, not just that it'll be healthy. But because it's a life skill which is a real pleasure."
The interest in cooking is an effort to reduce the obesity rate, which is almost the highest in Europe. According to the government, half of British people will be obese in 25 years if we don't take measures to prevent it.

¡¾ÌâÄ¿¡¿ A teacher from Ghana has received worldwide praise after people saw a photo showing him teaching students how to use Microsoft Word on a blackboard.
Richard Appiah Akoto teaches computer classes at a middle school in rural Ghana. However, there are no computers at school. To solve the problem, Akoto tries to draw computer screenshots (ÆÁÄ»½Øͼ) onto the blackboard with colored chalks.
He spends about 30 minutes making these drawings. He draws every detail and feature (ÌØÕ÷) of the software, including all the tools and the scroll bars (¹ö¶¯Ìõ). To_make_room_for_the_next_class,_these_drawings_will_be_cleaned_when_the_computer_class_is_over. Therefore, Akoto has to draw new screenshots every time.
Akoto has taught computer class for six years and this is not the first time he has taught his students with drawings on the blackboard. He has taught his students how to turn on and off a computer and create a folder (Îļþ¼Ð) in the same way.
Akoto was happy when one of his students got an ¡°A¡± in the national exam on computer skills last year. He says he loves his students, and this is why he needs to do everything that will make them understand what he is teaching.

¡¾ÌâÄ¿¡¿ Chinese buyers used to prize foreign brands, thinking that products made by American or European companies are of higher quality(ÖÊÁ¿) than Chinese ones. Increasingly, that's no longer the case.
Chinese people born before 1985 generally think that foreign brands are better than Chinese ones, billionaire William Li told Business Insider during a recent interview on CCTV 9. But_for_those_who_were_born_after_1985,_it_is_a_different_picture.
¡°When I first went to the United Kingdom in 1997, I thought that the difference between China and Europe was quite big,¡± Li said. ¡°But for those born in the 1990s, when they visit Europe or the US, they do not think there is a big difference.¡±
The change in thinking among Chinese buyers is showing up in many markets in China where western companies used to control. A study by Credit Suisse published in March found that young Chinese buyers are increasingly showing a ¡°home brand bias¡±.
More than 90% of young Chinese buyers would prefer to buy home appliance brands, according to the study. Meanwhile, home companies producing food, drinks, or personal care products increased their share of the market by 3.3% over the last ten years to nearly 70%.
¡°Chinese buyers, especially the younger ones, don't just believe that foreign brands are better. Right now, Chinese buyers think China is good and ¡®Made in China' is not bad at all,¡± Charlie Chen, head of China buyer research at Credit Suisse, told South China Morning Post in March.
The Chinese smartphone market is controlled by home companies¡ª¡ªHuawei, Oppo, Vivo, and Xiaomi. Apple is the only foreign brand in the top five, but it has lost large ground to the home brands in recent years. Its market share is believed to be down to 37% from 2015 high of 54%.
