    Climate change is an important and lasting change of climate．Global warming has become the worst problem about climate．It makes sea levels rise．If sea levels carry on rising，some places may disappear under water in just a few dozen years．It may also cause other problems，such as the extinction of certain kinds of animals．
    Many believe that global warming is caused by human activities：car exhaust emissions（尾气），burning of coal by factories and cutting down of trees．
    Can we do anything about it？Sure．Everybody can do a little bit to protect Mother Earth．Here are some suggestions：
    Change bulbs．
    People produce electricity by using natural resources．So it helps to turn off lights，the television，and the computer when you stop using them．You can also ask your parents to change the light bulbs in your home to compact fluorescent light bulbs（节能灯泡）．
    Bike or walk to school．
    Do you go to school by bus or by bike？If you bike，you are doing something good for Earth．If you live near your school，you can simply walk to school to save energy．
    Wash the green way．
    Do you help wash clothes at home？Then wash them in an energy-saving way．Never start your washing machine unless it is full of clothes．Dry your clothes the natural way by hanging them on a line rather than putting them in a dryer．
