    17．Most little girls love to dress up as princesses．It is difficult to imagine what might be wrong with that．
    But one author has written a book on how she believes the fairy（仙女） tales send a dangerous message．Jennifer L Hardstein is the author of the recently-published book Princess Recovery．
    In her book，Dr Hardstein says that traditional stories like Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella advertise the idea that if a girl is pretty enough and has fancy clothes and shoes，she can find love and be popular．The author refers to this phenomenon（现象） as the"Princess Syndrome（公主综合症）"．

    As well as warning of the dangers of"Princess Syndrome"，her book advises parents how to guide their children from an early age．

    She makes a promise to parents，"Princess Recovery will bring balance，confidence，and self-sufficiency into your daughter's life while giving her a modern，colorful childhood．"
