4．The letters'UFO'mean'Unidentified Flying Object'．To many people this means flying plates!However，not all UFOs have looked like plates．Many have been long and thin．Some have been balls of light．
Many people think that UFOs come from deep in space．This may be not true．Unless a UFO can be identified，we cannot say where it comes from．
Although we have not been able to get a UFO and examine it，thousands of people believe that they have seen such things．
A famous example was in Mississippi in 1973．Two men，Charles E．Hickson，45，and Calvin R．Parker，18，said that they were taken on board a UFO．
They were fishing when a green light appeared above them．Inside the light there was some kind of object from which three strange creatures came out．These creatures had claws instead of hands，pointed ears，a small pointed nose and a hole beneath it for a mouth．They had legs but did not walk，they seemed to swim in the air．
Hickson and Parker said that they tried to move but could not．The creatures lifted them up and carried them into their spaceship．Here the creatures used strange objects to study every part of their bodies．
The creatures later returned the two men to where they had been fishing and then left as suddenly as they had arrived．
Many people believed that Hickson and Parker were telling the truth because on the same day in different parts of the country，two other people，many kilometers away from one another，saw similar creatures．
One of them was a policeman．He took photographs of the creature he saw and drove after it in his police car．Unluckily，he could not catch it．
In fact，no one who has seen a visitor from a UFO has ever been able to catch and keep one for study．Or if they have，they are not telling anyone about it!
