    There were four great inventions in ancient China．They all helped people a lot．But for us students，papermaking and printing are especially useful．They play an important part in our studies．
    Paper was invented and improved by Cai Lun in Eastern Han Dynasty．Before paper was invented，people used bamboo pieces and some other things to write on．Books made of bamboo pieces were very heavy．Later，silk and cotton were also used for writing，but they were too expensive．Then after a lot of practice，Cai Lun successfully made paper．
